The Institute of the development of social economy (IDES) organised a symposium on the occasion of sound 25 me birthday on December 8th of this year at home of the PARIS PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM of Paris.
Ides was founded in 1983 by Fran ois Soulage, the same year as the interdepartmental Delegation in social economy. After 25 years of development of tools of financing in the service of the firms of social economy, its balance sheet is to put compared with current financial and economic crisis.
Hugues Sibille, new president since November 13th, 2008 introduced the afternoon of debates by three reflexion:
- Facing current crisis, social economy can only adopt a position of " determined modesty ": "ES is not there to give lessons to others but to emphasise its specificity more than ever"
- Debate does not come down to role of the State but to new regulations: "ES must formulate the answers which she can bring in economy on territories, in jobs and in patient finance"
- The potential of waitings and of growth is very strong, 25 years after the creation of Ides today. The firms of ES have important needs of accompaniment and of financing to develop.
The round table gave rise to debates on stakes of differentiation of the banks of social economy: how to hold democratic promise? Several tools exist and indeed win to be known as .
The same question of the democratic legitimacy of the financial mechanisms was asked again at the time of synthesis by Fran ois Soulage who was widely and for a long time applauded by the room for his last intervention as president of the IDES.
In conclusion of afternoon, Hugue Sibille has put down perspectives and main construction sites to come for Ides:
- Develop partnerships.
- Invest in the resumption of firms under co-operative form, new energies and the devices of financing to SMES.
- Structure a strong word and put in network the financeurs of the firms of social economy.
