Created in 1992, CPCA is a registered association since November, 1999 and regroups 16 associative coordinations structured today nationally, representing about 700 federations that is 500 000 associations in France.

It is an independent place of political interview which works on a full and whole recognition of stocks and interests of the associative world in the French society.

A collective word

The Permanent Conference of Associative Coordinations (CPCA) is authority where gather different sectoral structures and affinitaires representative of various domains of associative activity (sports, culture, health and social, education, environment, international solidarity, rural development, tourism, family, student life, human rights, justice.)

She is aimed (at article 3 of statutes of CPCA):

  • to make admit the associative world as the full intermediate body for a civil dialogue in the service of general interest;
  • to contribute to promote a community life which aims at developing plans of general interest and activities without profitable purpose and to be it door word across a public communication there;
  • to gather and to defend all the associations which create social links, develop participative citizenship, struggle against excesses of individualism, racism, sexism and xenophobia; defend these stocks for more social Europe and promote international solidarity;
  • to improve the effectiveness of coordinations members by strategies or common decks, by dialogue and/or negotiation with the public authorities;
  • to search a prospective vision of the community life around its citizen's specificity and administrators.
  • to develop partnerships with all organisations which follower in the same stocks and pursue the same aims notably on the ground of social economy.

CPCA is therefore the place where discusses, assesses, defines itself the place of associations in the French society.

Find here the presentation of CPCA by its president, Jacques Henrard.

CPCA develops partnerships with all organisations enlivened by same will to co-ordinate and political weight in associative movement.

She acts at three levels:

  • R gionalement, with the constitution of regional CPCA:
    To answer territorialis es logic of inter-associative partnerships and of public cooperation.
    See: Space Region out
  • Nationally:
    Where she is the interlocutor and the partner of the actors of Social Economy within the Council of firms and groupings of social economy (CEGES) and has talks with the group Association of the Economic and Social Council.
    See: Space Directory out
  • Europe-wide:
    Most associative coordinations members of the CPCA participate in sectoral European regroupings and/or affinitaires to defend and to promote their interests in the European frame.

CPCA also works with the coordinations members to promote the place of associations as part of the structural financings or the European programmes in France (EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND FEADER FEDER).

CPCA meets finally associative interlocutors of countries members, as British National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), or of new entrants countries in the European Union, to compare the state of the relations of the sector with the public authorities.
