In closes of an event yesterday [1] organising by CPCA, the High commissioner in Youth and in active solidarities, Mr Martin Hirsch, announced that the next conference of the community life, announced for many months, would take place on Thursday, December 17th, 2009.

The President of the Republic Mr Nicolas Sarkozy during his meeting with JACQUES HENRARD, president de la CPCA, on April 4th, 2008, had decided on the organisation of this national, second conference of the name after that of the government Of Villepin in January, 2006.

CPCA, authority of representation of the associative movement organised in France, is very pleased about this announcement after long months of waiting. CPCA wishes now that gets involved a cooperation at the highest level on official reports and proposals to endow our country of an ambitious associative policy.

• For a renewed democracy: we plead for a new stage of recognition of participation of associations in our democracy, of debate in development and implementation of public action.

• For a society of confidence: we ask for a new policy, endowed with means, in favour of the development of the community life, for voluntary and voluntary commitment in the service of reasons of general interest.

• For an economy in the service of the population: our fellow citizens approve by a large majority the associative near action, constructed on a nonprofitable collective plan; this unprofitable economy, strong in 2 million wage earners, will be able t-elle to resist the marchandisation of services and the transposition of the European rules?

CPCA, strong in the 16 national coordinations, in the regional elements, will follow mobilisation to the associative world, and offer, throughout the autumn, analyses and complete points of information on official reports, stakes and proposals of associative movement.

Key figures:

• The French associative world is the first collective force of the country with more than 200 creations of associations a day and a confidence in more than 80 % populations in its actions.
• With about 2 million wage earners and more than 180 000 structures employers for a 60 thousand million euro budget, the associative sector represents the upper economic force to car industry or to agriculture.
• The sector creates on average twice more jobs than the rest of economy.
• 14 million volunteers make live more than a million associations and so much plans and activities of general interest everywhere in France in the service of the daily life of the population
